NX200's DIS (Digital Image Stabilization)
Sep 1, 2011

We'll probably find out in a few hours on what & how exactly this works, but from what I read on some Samsung patents is that it uses the differences between 2 frames to calculate the stabilization. Is this any different than typical DIS methods? I believe it is, but if anyone else knows more on the subject please chime in.

As far as I know, DIS can be done stupidly by just simply increasing ISO, or using the borders of an image as a buffer, but that creates shearing artifacts. If Samsung's DIS method is any good, I'm thinking it should be considered pretty innovative no?
