Help with E-PL2

I'm into week three with a new E-PL2 and I still haven't quite got it figured out. I'm seeing a lot of noise in the shadows at low ISO's and wonder if this amount is normal. Admittedly, I have noise reduction turned off, but even so it seems excessive. I've attached a photo taken at F1.7, ISO 200, 1/250, Auto WB. I would appreciate some feedback on the noise levels.
