a77 for HDR shooting? a question for the HDR inclined crowd

I am thinking of the a77 for HDR shooting. I have a NEX-7 pre-ordered however, as you may know, the in-camera HDR feature of the Sony's doesn't allow for separate Raw file capture so I would be limiting my HDR post-processing abilities.

The a65 has a more limited AEB capability. The NEX-7 has none. The a77, even if ISO performance is under that of NEX 7 would be fine for HDR, as low ISO range is used.

The a77 has a far better lens selection, many having superior optics to the NEX line, particularly at the wide end, plus, available third party ones.

Summing it up, the a77 holds tremendous potential for HDR shooters and it is a tempting, albeit expensive kit. Having shot HDR with the Canon 7D before the 60D and t3i were released, I also know that the latter two are far cheaper(and capable of significant enlargement as well) cameras for HDR shooting.

To HDR shooters out looking at the a77, your thoughts?
