500D vs 1100D
Aug 24, 2011

I'm comparing the two trying to decide which one to buy.
The 1100D is obviously cheaper. Other than the 500D's higher resolution, which I don't need and the 500D's better LCD screen and 1080p video, is there much between the two in terms of IQ?
I understand the 500D has a higher ISO setting, but I'm not sure if I'll ever need to go above ISO 6400 anyway.
Should I save myself a few pounds and get the 1100D and then have more to spend on a lens, or would I see more of a benefit in getting the 500D and get by with cheaper lenses?
