Alaska Teaser Pics

Out of several hundred photos I've managed to PP three, other than a couple dozen pics of people in our group on the cruise.

So, Lois and I and 20 some other folk from my Church and their friends and relatives spent a week on an Holland-American cruise ship, from Seattle, to Juneau, Hubbard Glacier, Sitka and Ketchikan, mostly rain forest areas. Oh, yes, back to Seattle.

First, a chain of mountains on the coast between Juneau and Hubbard Glacier.

Hubbard Glacier, a bit of calving, taking place. The glacier is about the height of a 15 story building. I think it's the largest, or maybe the longest glacier in Alaska. It is still building, instead of receding.

Mt. St. Elias, the 2nd highest Mt. in North America at 18,000 + ft. Taken late afternoon. The horizon is straight, but the ice field, hence water/ice boundary is not straight.
