That's not always correct. It depends on the holder. Unless I've been reading the instructions wrong, wiith my BetterScanning holder, the film lies underneath the glass, with the emulsion facing the glass, which would make it face up with respect to the scanner platen. Don't know about the Epson holder - never used one... just went straight to the Betterscanning.

Regardless of wet or dry mounting, have the emulsion facing down.
