Front heavy D7000

Hi,

I am new to "big boy" photography, but have now acquired a D7000 with a few lenses. Amongst other extras I invested in the battery pack, and I am wondering how to put down the D7000? Without the battery pack it will "stand" on its own, meaning it will not tip forward and rest on the lens, or at least the angle is shallow.

However, with the battery pack, and especially if I have the tripod release plate attached, the tip over is quite severe. Is this something to worry about, basically something to avoid?

Thanks in advance from a beginner...

Bo
