GXR or GRD III

Hi,

I've a friend who is looking and Ricoh as an alternative to the norm and I'd appreciate the forums feedback as I don't know anything about these cameras.

He has tried my X100 and loves the viewfinder, image quality but is not that impressed with the focus speed and/or write speed - I've come to live with the focus speed and learnt a few things to speed it up. Likes GH2 but wants something a little more discrete and also when you add some of the decent lenses blows his budget (no more than £800).

His main criteria is acurate and quick focus capabilities, reasonable quality (he shoots mainly B&W street and candid) and is intuitive to use.

I thought that either the GRD III (with his snap focus????) or a GXR A12 50mm might do, both in budget and the image quality from what I've seen on flickr has been good.

Your help would be appreciated, as I'm out of my depth with Ricoh.
