Mac photo editing built-in, but for PC?

I recently discovered a mac book pro program that quickly and easily edits images, and the changes are non-destructive (you can always go back and change them a different way.)

Is there a program for PC that does this? I figured I'd ask on the mac forum because PC folks (like me) might not be aware of this capability.

What I do now is have a separate folder for edited files.
