Do you find the D3X unreliable?

I only ask this question because I met a wedding and wildlife photographer at a show recently who said that he had had two D3X's and that they had spent half their life back with Nikon UK because of failure after failure. As a result he had sold the whole Nikon kit and bought Canon outfits for him and his wife.

Was he just being a contentious idiot because he saw my D3 or is there something behind this? This is not a troll, I'm asking because I was shocked he was being so vehement about it. I've nothing but praise for my Nikon kit and Nikon UK (so far).
