Is my Epson R2400 dead?

(I posted this in the wrong forum previously - my apologies).

I had my Epson R2400 in a box for about 2 years while I took a break from printing. I recently brought it out and started trying to print with it again. The main problem I'm having is that the paper just feeds right through every time I try to print.

I've talked to Epson support, and they instructed me to clean the rollers by holding a cloth with some vinegar against them as I hit the paper feed button. Sometimes right after I do that I'll get one sheet to feed properly. But usually right after that the old problem comes back.

Epson doesn't have any more ideas. Can anyone help? Seems a shame to get rid of a $500 (when I bought it, at least) printer because of this one issue.
