Leica is not the only brand of camera having issues with this card.

What surprises me is that Sandisk is not as interested in identifying the problems with their product. I've used Sandisk cards since 1995, a PCMCIA 4MByte card. I still use PCMCIA cards for embedded systems, the 220MByte card I have was made in 1998. I've never seen a memory card with the problem that this SD card exhibits. If the problem with the card happened only with Leica cameras, it would be fair to blame Leica. As the problem happens across a broader range of products and operating systems, the problem should be addressed by Sandisk.
