Northern Harriers

This has to be my favorite hawk and most difficult for me to capture. They depend on there hearing as well as there eyes and even out 300 feet they can still hear my camera clicking and will bank away from me, I was using a 600/4 with a 17e. For the past three years instead of stalking them I wait in ambush and get better opportunitues. Now I use a 300/4 with a 14e.
These were taking in the fall and winter when they migrate down to S. Florida.
TAS reported seeing one in the farm fields where I go yesterday. There starting to come down early this year and I cannot wait.
Regards.
