I am concerns that NEX-7 may exhibit the same behavior as A55 now.

Sony seems to be at it's most evil when controlling how its cameras behave with studio flash. They knobbled this on the R1 (the camera that really started the mirrorless revolution), also the NEX series so far and AXX cameras. All these cameras really ought to work with studio flash.

I think that Sony is aiming the Axx cameras at the real amateur that don't have a studio. I don't think that 99% of the Axx owners realy miss the studio capabilities of their cameras.
For the 1% it would be great if Sony could fix it.

I think that, with the lack of a real hotshoe, and the lack of a real studioflash PC connector this camera is not created for studio work, So their users will not be able to use them in the studio as a more professional camera.

My guess would be the A77 is sufficiently high-end for them, and the rest will be limited. My hope is that they'll have a change of heart and add this functionality to all of its large-sensor bodies from now on. The situation as it is, is pretty annoying.
