Freedom to photograph
Aug 4, 2011

A local school teacher was arrested last year for photographing an automobile accident which I thought was odd. He was a drivers training teacher so there was relevance to his job. Then I read this article today. Turns out the US is a big police state now! Here is the link to the article http://www.alternet.org/story/151806/15_years_in_prison_for_taping_the_cops_how_eavesdropping_laws_are_taking_away_our_best_defense_against_police_brutality/?page=1

I was in Maryland(featured prominently in the article in the link) last year and was surprised to see big illuminated signs telling you to call a phone number to report suspicious activity. Fortunately there was nothing scenic on that interstate, but then maybe a photo of the police state sign needs to be documented. Would that be suspicious?
