Emailing from my iPad

Whe writing an email and I start to write the email address in the required place my iPad gives a list of possible addresses starting with the same letter(s). Sometimes I see an address that is wrong and I want to delete it. Where can I find this wrong address to get rid of it forever? I have looked in Contacts and they are not in there.
