Straight Horizon - Does it Work Here?

Absolutly.

The horizone drops off on the right, showing us that the center is rising from the left side. Without that it might have looked wrong. I think it's a good picture with just the right amount of forground and sky. The 1/3rds rule is well in play. IMHO, which may not be worth much.
