GH2 or G3 for birding?

Hi,

First off may I say I know these cameras are not ideal for birds in flight. However I have to downsize from my heavy canon DSLR gear and I was wondering if there are any differences in the focusing ability of these two, especially the ability, if any, to track moving objects? I thought I might try the 100-300 with one of them.
Any input much appreciated.
