Nikon AF-S 50mm 1.4G ~ Sports Photography.

Quite a few years ago I bought a D70 with a kit lens.

I know use this as a spare having bought a D300S with a AF-S VR-NIKKOR 70-200mm 1:2.8G.

I really only use the cameras to take road race photos.

If it's raining and the light is poor, or evening races where again the light is poor the quality really does suffer as the minimum aperature size is f4.5 on the kit lens.

I am considering buying a Nikon AF-S 50mm f1.4G.

The reviews I have read really praise this lens, with just one or to exceptions.

There is the suggestion that the focusing is a little slow.

I always use autofocusing, press the button half way down, when I have runner head-to-toe I take the shot. Occasionally the next runner is quite close behind so I really do need a fast re-focus.

Will I get this with the Nikon AF-S 50mm f1.4G.
