Although I appreciate the rationale for comparing images produced by cameras using their automatic settings, this results in very poorly-controlled comparisons, where in some cases you're comparing images taken with different apertures, shutter speeds, and ISOs. Thus, we can't tell whether the observed differences in IQ represent inherent differences between the cameras or just the different settings that each camera's firmware/software selects as default. A better comparison might involve determining the correct exposure, then setting each camera to produce that exposure with matched apertures, shutter speeds, and ISOs. That would still leave as uncontrolled variables each camera's default levels of sharpening, NR, etc., but we'd be a bit closer to having a more level playing field.

Bob, you have missed one very important comparison point that has never been discussed here: on 43rumores website you can find long listings of refurbished M43 - Oly cameras one can buy for cheap. So this is the point: cheap buy vs. good quality.
