James Dean's Porsche? (Leica X1)

At an oldtimer show near Frankfurt I ran into this 550 Porsche and was told that James Dean had his fatal crash with this kind of Porsche. I must confess that I'm neither an oldtimer nor a James Dean expert, but people passing by kept telling this story...
The first reason to share this photo is that I liked the car (and the environment btw) the second is that it's just another example of my X1 experience.
