Meet the Atlantis Astronauts:
Jul 14, 2011

Below is the circus I found myself within for the "walk-out" of the four astronauts from their preparation building. They walked-out of the unseen building in the early morning, stood very briefly in front of the 1970's-something NASA Aerostream Astronaut motor-home-van, and were then ushered into the van; which then left in a motorcade to the awaiting Atlantis space shuttle at the historic Launch Pad 39-A. The photo-op was less than a minute - perhaps around 30 to 45-seconds.

And below here is the link to the image I made of the four astronauts from my professional efforts:

Although I'll present a few more close-up to the space shuttle images within the next few upcoming days (we were taken to the actual launch pad), please feel free to let me know your thoughts. But I can assure you the experience for me was a once-in-a-lifetime type event.

thanks,
marc
