Upgraded from Canon T2i to 5D Mark II... not impressed
Jul 11, 2011

So I upgraded from the T2i which I have had for about a year now and decided to go to a full frame 5D Mark 2. I have to admit that I am a little disappointed in the image quality difference between the two. I understand all the advantages the 5D has over the T2i as far as faster, higher ISO performance, etc, but I am speaking in terms of overall picture quality alone. I guess I just expected alot better from the 5D . The thing is , I have a Tamron 28-75 2.8 lens on there and was wondering if that could be the issue? When I had my T2i i took sample photos with the Tamron and Canon 24-70mm 2.8 L on a tripod and the Tamron always came out sharper so I kept the Tamron. Could it be that with the 5D being such a higher end camera versus the T2i that the Tamron just isn't cutting it like it did on the T2i? Thanks in advance for any help or info.
