What Kodak must do to make the Z990 a classic

My P990 takes great pictures for a very small sensor consumer camera. The 820mm max focal length is awesome and I've taken some great bird pictures. The user interface is not great but is certainly passable. The price is right.
The problem that must be fixed in firmware if the camera is to become a best selling classic is the terrible delay after taking a burst of pictures. It can take 20 seconds before I can take another picture. If I take a burst of 5 pictures of a bird, then I'm dead in the water for up to 20 seconds. This is particularly a problem with such a long telephoto since many people buy it to take wildlife pictures. The 20 second delay makes it of limited use out in the field for wildlife.
If Kodak can bring the inter-burst delay down to say 3 to 5 seconds, they will have a real winner. I wonder if this is possible with a firmware update.
