Canon 24-105mm trouble focusing

Hello everyone,

I'm in the middle of my vacation and the 24-105mm f/4 lens has trouble focusing. It stopped focusing without apparent reason. At wide angle does not (auto) focus at all, while at long end of the zoom takes a while. This is under day light conditions.

I re-mounted the lens a few times, removed the battery for few minutes and cleaned the contacts with alcohol. Is there anything else I can try?

The lens is relatively new, maybe a year (or less) old.
