about dead pixel

We still need a display forum....

I bought a NEC PA271W, it's on my desk for about 2 hours. I seem to have one dead pixel, most noticeable against a white background. I have a pixel guarantee with the store I bought it. But because the display is just on for a short amount of time, is it going to leave? Or is it dead and stays dead? The pixel is black in color.
