CIS on Epson R2880

Hi there,

after using a A4 printer from HP over years (8450 with grey ink) I now wnt to awitch to A3.

As the new R 3000 is in everybodies mouth, the R2880 is dropping in price - good!

So I decided for this model, also because the change of black does not bother me, I will be settling on one de-facto standard paper anyway.

What bothers me is ink pricing versus quality: No matter if I buy the R 2880 or the R 3000 - Inks will be expensive (actually at a comparable level).

Alternatively 3rd party Ink or even a CIS would be an alternative. But then... here is the question:

Is the photo quality as good as it is with original Epson ink? Will the BW's come out dead neutral and without blocking the dark parts?
