Nepal travel bag suggestions?

I'll visit Nepal with a photography group at August. We'll plan to see Katmandu and other fascinating cities, but don't plan heavy trekking and hiking. I like to take pictures of people and some landscape. What are your opinions about gear to take for optimal weight? And is there somebody who has any experience about Tamron 28-300 VC lens?
My current gear; Canon 5D mark II, 17-40, 24-105, 24-70, 70-200 f4(non-is) and 50mm f1.4
