The future of 3/4 is uncertain. What is your strategy as a customer?
Jul 2, 2011

I am not starting a thread about speculations what Olympus might do or is not doing. I don't like these speculations and we know nothing for certain. I only want to know how you as a customer are reacting on this uncertain situation round the future of 4/3. You have your thoughts about the present situation.

At this moment I have a E-510 with a nice set of lenses. What is my strategy?

  • I recently replaced the kit lens by the 14-54 1:2.8-3.5, this was my last investment.

  • I tried to buy one of the last E-30's. No succes. The E-510 is a damm good camera. There is no acute need to replace him.

  • The E-5 is too expensive for a hobyist like me and I don't like PEN's

  • I am now waiting. If necessary I can and will wait for many years

  • If Olympus produces an E-50 for a fair price, I would buy it.

  • I am not planning to switch to Nikkon or Canon

  • I am also interested in the Panasonic GH-line. If my E-510 breaks down, I would buy a Panasonic. May be the Panasonic GH4 of GH5 will be my next camera.

How are you reacting as a customer? Whats your strategy?
