Nikon D200 with 12.000 dying ?!

I have had my camera since 2006 and it's in mint condition. It has no more than 12.000 shots and now started with the fuc+ ng "ERR" message. I'm waiting for the D400 but wanted to keep the D200 in 100% working condition.
The first shot (after a few hours of being switched off) blocks and then I press the shutter button harder and everything is fine again.
I have read a lot of theories in the net about this problem but it's a great coincidence that I just had updated the firmware to 2.01. Why couldn't I keep the 2.0 ? Anyway ... do you still have 2.0 saved ? I want to downgrade. Is it possible ?
Maybe it will solve the problem ...
Thanks
