They look better than those for the Tokina 16-28mm which were taken on a Nikon D3x. I can confirm that the Tokina 16-28mm (my 3rd sample) is indeed very sharp across the image on my EOS 5D. Even wide open there is a large part of the image very sharp and vignetting is unnoticable. It is just a little heavy. But I wanted f/2.8 for available light shooting and in case I take a vacation in an area with chance of aurora. But surely I would miss 35mm more than a 1 mm gain at the wide end.
