A growing number D7000 users are noticing odd spots in the images. Examination of the sensor show itty bitty splats. It appears that lub is being flung off the shutter or/and the mirror mechanism. Apparantly a wet wiping removes it for the time being. Nikon service will wash the sensor, so I have heard, once during the warranty period. I'm sure they also notice if the shutter and mirror mechanisms are dry and will relube.
