16-85mm vs 18-200mm VR II

I recently purchased my first Nikon equipment back in May. I got the Nikon d7000 with 18-200mm VR II and SB700 flash. After a month of owning this lens, I also bought this 35mm f1.8 lens. Oh boy, this lens is so sharp... sharper than the 18-200mm.

I am reading other forums and someone said that 16-85mm is WAY sharper than 18-200. is this true? I don't have the 16-85mm lens to compare. Now I'm considering selling my 18-200 and get the 16-85. Will that be a rghtt move for me? Will I be losing slot in the range of 85-200?

I need your input/suggestion whether I should keep my 18-200 or get the 16-85mm.
