Only on two occasions

My DZ12-60 was one of the early ones on the recall list - I dropped it off at the Oly Markham office, they sent it to NY and I had a brand new 12-60 couriered to my door with two days.

Pretty top notch service I would say.

Nortown has been in the business a long time, they replaced Karsten (who were the original Olympus repair depot) sometime in the late 70's or early 80's.

I dropped my 1973 vintage OM1 off to them when it developed a light leak due to the film door seals wearing out. They replaced the seals and did a complete CLA, this was over 20 years ago. It it still working perfectly to this day.

The price was reasonable and again, pretty much top notch service.

Probably depends on the nature of the repair where it will be sent, but they should be able to tell you over the phone with your description of the problem.

Either way based on my experience I wouldn't be worried about turning any of my gear over to them.
