Minolta Film Lenses on Oly Dslr?

I was at a local thrift store today and they had a Minolta SLR camera, with 4 or 5 lenses, a tripod, etc.... I remember one lens was a 50mm f/1.4, another one was small and weird looking and said macro on the side, another was a huge zoom lens with a tripod mount on it... not sure of the length but the aperture was f/4... there was another lens mounted on the camera, and another small lens in the bag but I cant remember what name it said on the lens

I am wondering how well these film lenses go with the Oly Dslr's... I found and adapter for $25 but am wondering if getting the film kit would be worth it? The entire set up was less than $175...
