Panasonic FZ30 to Oly E-PL2
Finally had enough of all the PP I had to do indoors with my FZ-30 and I though that the Oly-E-PL2 would be enough of an upgrade to justify retiring my FZ.
So far I am not disappointed ..... I always liked OLY colour redition better than anyway. If the FZ had a clean ISO800 in low light I probably would still be using it in 10 years.
The low light performance isn't as spectacular as I hoped and the lenses are slower than the FZ but I can shoot indoors now with ambient light for the most part with the E-PL2. If Oly ever makes a better smaller pancake for a decent price I will buy it.
The good news is that the FZ-30 to E-PL2 is a smooth upgrade as far a conversion lenses go. The 55mm Oly macro fits right on with a thin step ring and works quite well on the 40-150mm kit lens - autofocus works fine too. Even the 1.7x OLY TCON will fit but I havent tested it and done really expect it to work.
