Iceland photography spots -- suggestions?

Greetings all,
I am thinking of taking a photo trip to Iceland in the coming months with my trusty D3.
Can anyone recommend places to be and things to see, from a hiker's and photographer's point of view? I don't mind going all over the place if need be, and don't mind climbing, if the subsequent view warrants it.
All info much appreciated!
