Elinchrom Ranger - Limitations?

Looking at a kit "Elinchrom Ranger Quadra RX To Go Speed "A" Case Set" to use as a portable set of strobes to replace a set of 580EX flashes that are sorely stretched in the ways I'm trying to use them now.

If you've used, them , I'd be grateful to know what sort of limitations I'm likely to run into next (like how many exposures I can realistically expect from the battery, etc)

I need more light, and I need to get the camera a lot further away and still be able to trigger reliably. Am I barking up the right tree with a product like this?
