HX100V LCD Screen Protector?

There was a short thread 2 months ago about an LCD screen protector for the HX100V; specifically the Giottos Aegis SP8300 3". One of the areas of discussion was fit and whether it's frame would obscure the edges of the screen -- but at that point no one knew for sure.
Has anyone tried this, or any other, protector on the HX100V screen? I don't like the stick-on film type which I have never been able to apply without air bubbles.
A glass protector that is the exact size of the frame around the camera's LCD would be ideal, I think. (One that is smaller in either width or height would result in a frame-within-a-frame look and also might block the information at the edges of the screen, especially at the top or bottom when in 4:3 mode.)
