I hate choices

Have a 60D with the kit 18-135 Lens and a 50mm 1.4 lens
I've been eyeing some L lens and have no idea what route I want to go, because I shoot a variety of stuff. I also think that an external flash is probobly good gear to have. Maybe a 580 EXII . But I don't have $$ to get a flash and a good lens. Any suggestions?
