Best snorkeling camera

Hallo dears, it's been a while.

My beloved Lady really deserve a compact camera for this summer's sea travel, she loves water and animals and would do a great use of a waterprof camera for snorkeling and eventual dropping on rocks or whatsoever (we often visit and generally speaking we do prefer rocky coasts to sandy ones).

My first thought got to Canon D10, but lately i read several users complaining about water intrusions, even at first use.

Another models could be an Optio Wxx or... what else? true life exp is always welcome. and last group comparison here on site dates back at about 2 years ago, so plz help me!
