SZ30 - An evening at the beach
Jun 3, 2011

Good depth of field at full wide angle:

Not quite full zoom, 532mm, with digital zoom enabled it seems hard to stop at exactly full optical only:

Two more at almost full zoom with the dual image stabilisation doing it's job, can just about make out the fishing line in the first:

Took this mainly for the colours which seem quite accurate:

Wildlife at full zoom with the light starting to go, the auto ISO has gone up to 400 resulting in less detail:

The sun has gone and since I had a tripod with me I decided to set ISO 80 resulting in 1/4 second exposure. Setting the ISO down doesn't seem to have helped much, it's still lacking detail, maybe because it needed more than the 1/4 second.

Sunset, fullish zoom, handheld and ISO 1600, there is noise from the high ISO but I'm not complaining!

Same scene with the magic sunset filter and the bird decided to leave:

Darkness, and it will actually take images that look like it's dusk (mainly because the normal P mode is limited to a minimum 1/4 second shutter speed):
