Digital Ice is basically a scanner hardware function and is not really dependant on the associated app or even OS. However you need to find out if your platform/OS is supported by the scanning software itself, Epson Scan (I’m betting it is). You can do that by looking at the Epson site. You will be using the Epson twain driver which is the underlying OS oriented interface between the graphic application (in your case PSE9) and the 4990 scanner. I use Epson Scan in its Professional Mode and I would recommend that to most people. It powerful, versatile and simple.
