Help needed: How to fix the color of a rose?

I've tried to take some photos of a rose in a vase and came into some problems. First I managed to blow the red channel and found the RGB histogram and think I managed to overcome that problem in the second photo. Now I just cannot get the same dark burgundy-red color in the post-processing. I've used a grey-card without that changing anything.

The photos are taken with a K-7. The rose was lit from a window and it were cloudy outside.

Any tips are welcome. The RAW files can be made available upon request if that will help.
