What Sigma needs to do regarding SD1...

Do not release it!
Write an official statement regarding what went wrong with the pricing and then move on.
Releasing this camera will hurt them.
Sometimes companies just make big mistakes. This was one of them for Sigma.
They got a lot of publicity regarding this, they need to use it to their advantage and start over with a different camera.
