MacBook Pro 17" from 2007, is it worth?

Hi
I have a dead fan on my current working laptop, since i'm looking for replacement I found this :' MacBook Pro 2,1 Intel Core 2 Duo 2.33 GHz, RAM 3 GB, 500 GB HDD, VRAM 256 Mb ATI Radeon X1600 1680 x 1050.' for around 800$... Would this 5 years old Mac be capable of running todays Lightroom and Photoshop aplications for photo editing, or should I stay with some newer laptop pc's?
