I have the Metz 48 which works just fine. What I do like about Metz is that you can download newer software to keep up with any changes Canon makes, so your flash isn't obsolete 15 years from now, just delete the old software and add the new and you are good to go.

If you've done your homework, and I'm sure you have, you know the Metz 50 is a follow up to the Metz 48 (which I own); the 48 won a decent award in Europe for its design and abilities and the 50 is suppose to be better than the 48.

You should be quite happy with the Metz you get:
