Yes John, I completely agree with you - photography has an artistic dimension to it, and within the artistic part of photography, to each his own.

BUT, if one CHOSES to make an artistic choice (in this case, constant 4800K color temp, whichever the source), THEN one should be LOGICAL, and not complain, in the same sentence, that one is not GETTING THE RIGHT SKIN TONES.

Either one decides that one is taking an artistic option, and thus lives with the fact that colours will often NOT look the same as in the real world - which is fine for artistic purposes. Or, one says that one wants the camera to deliver photos where the colours look like in the real world - and then one must forego the artistic choice, and become more technical.

That the OP could have decided for constant 4800k whatever happens (and apparently refuse to ever do a WB preset again, when it is so easy to do on Nikons), and THEN complains he's not getting the colours he'd like - this strikes me as logically INconsistent.
