D90 active d lighting with fill in flash

Hi All
i am shooting a wedding with some very bright sunlight,the bride hopes!!,
am quite new to the D90 and would like members input on the following.
would the d lighting feature be of benefeit if so what setting.
would fill flash SB600 allied to d lighting be the way to go or forget d lighting and use the SB600 for fill in flash.I have tried various settings and active d lighting is quite impressive,the brides dress is Grey which is a bit of a blessing.
