Which Canon DSLR Camera to Choose for Birding and Wildlife?
May 21, 2011

Good Evening/Morning,

I am Makarand Saraf an amateur photographer from India and who is interested in Birding and Wildlife photography.Currently i am using Olympus gear (E-620 with 70-300mm lens and 1.4x T.C).

Recently i brought a Vivitar 120-600mm Canon FD mount lens from KEH.I had planned to use this lens with my e-620 with an adapter but i have given second thoughts to buying a used Canon camera from KEH on which i plan to mount the lens.

Kindly suggest me which camera to buy-i have zeroed on the 400D and the 30D .I cannot afford to buy the current range of cameras from Canon due to financial constraints and therefore am looking at these two options which are available somewhere around 260-290USD in the Ex and Ex+ grades.I am confused as both these cameras are given almost equal reviews by this site.

Please help.Thanking you all in anticipation.
Makarand Saraf.
